Claire Heuchan

Claire is the co-author of What is Race? Who are Racists? Why Does Skin Colour Matter? And Other Big Questions, with Nikesh Shukla, published by Hachette Children’s Books.  

She has contributed essays for 404 Ink’s bestseller, Nasty Women, MAP’s collection Do Not Make The, Pluto Press’ Black feminist anthology We Exist to Resist, and the Haus of Liberated Readers’ forthcoming title on Black British experiences. She has been invited to deliver workshops on intersectionality for organisations around the UK, including FiLiA, WOWfest, and Glasgow Women’s Library. She is the sole British contributor to the renowned lesbian media site AfterEllen, where she has written about culture and representation regularly since 2017. Her twitter @ClaireShrugged has over 27k followers and there is much anticipation for her first book.
